  4. Accessing the WordPress MySQL database with phpMyAdmin

There are times when you might want to access WordPress’s MySQL database. To allow you to do this, every WordPress WordPress installation comes with phpMyAdmin pre-installed. You can access phpMyAdmin from Dashboard > Your WordPress Installation > Overview > phpMyAdmin. You can click on Open phpMyAdmin to access the phpMyAdmin web UI.

phpMyAdmin credentials

We do not store your phpMyAdmin credentials. If you forget your password however, you can always reset it from the TrulyWP backstage. From Dashboard > Your WordPress Installation > Overview > phpMyAdmin, click on Reset Password and copy the generated secure password.

Caution using phpMyAdmin

Please note that running phpMyAdmin gives you direct access to WordPress’s MySQL database. This is provided as a tool for advanced users who are absolutely sure of what they are doing. If you change or delete data, you might render your WordPress installation unusable.
